Omid means Hope
The purpose of the Foundation is to help people in need, especially children and youth, in acute emergencies and to help improve their situation in the long term.
The basic needs of children, their families and cohabiting communities should be fulfilled, and their abilities to contribute to the improvement of their cohabitation should be promoted.
Ongoing projects
Alghadir education center (Pishva-Varamin, Tehran)
Since 2008 the Omid foundation has supported Alghadir education center that supports refugee children who have fled from Afghanistan to Iran.
Association for Protection of Child Laborers in Iran (APCL)
In October 2009 the OMID foundation started cooperating with the Association for Protection of Child Laborers (APCL).
Baria project (Senegal)
Baria is a town in Senegal about 7 hours’ drive from the capital Dakar.
Basaeedoo and Goori pre-school & school buildings (Goori Medical Center, Qeshm)
Since 2013 the OMID foundation has been supporting the people on Qeshm island, Iran, for the construction of a new school building in Ba Saeedoo village.
