The OMID foundation pays part of the salary for the kindergarten teacher employed by the UMF, the first station for children of newly arrived refugees in Munich. The UMF works under the auspice of the inner mission of the protestant relief organization Diakonia. The families and their children live in old barracks under isolated and cramped conditions, and for these traumatized children it is very important to have room to play and to have a sense of security in order to regain their emotional stability.
